Principle of electro-Fenton in treating oily wastewater

The reaction principle of electro-Fenton in treating oily wastewater is to pass electricity into the wastewater. The ·OH produced by the catalytic decomposition of H2O2 by Fe 2+ has a high redox potential (2.8v), which can decompose oils and other pollutants in the wastewater. Therefore, the electro-Fenton method effectively removes the oil content and other difficult-to-degrade organic matter in the emulsified oily wastewater through the combined action of coagulation, flotation and strong oxidation.

When the pH value is 3.5, the current density is 13.7mA/cm 2, the H 2 O 2 dosage is 1.05mmol/L, and the dosage is 9 times, the COD removal rate reaches a maximum of 92.6%; the pH value has the greatest impact on the oil removal rate. When the pH value is 3, the current density is 11.5mA/cm 2, the H 2 O 2 dosage is 1.15mmol/L, and the H 2 O 2 is added 9 times, the maximum oil removal rate is 91.8%.
