These bubbles attach to solid or liquid particles within the wastewater, which have densities similar to water. WORKING PRINCIPLE:
The sewage is directed into the gas-liquid contact reaction area of the air flotation machine via the water inlet pump. Here, the gas-liquid mixer generates a multitude of microbubbles that cause oil droplets, suspended solids, and other pollutants to adhere to them. These pollutants are then transported to the water surface in the separation zone, forming scum.
Purified sewage overflows through the overflow weir and is efficiently discharged via the outlet pipe. Meanwhile, the scum on the surface of the air flotation machine is systematically scraped off by the slag scraper and directed into the scum pool.
Subsequently, the scum is transported out by a screw conveyor. Though scum can be discharged continuously, intermittent scraping is preferable for reducing the scum's moisture content, minimizing the amount of scum, lessening interference with the water body, and stabilizing effluent quality.
ADVANTAGES:
Advantage 1 of the dissolved air flotation machine: Requires short residence time, no backflow water, and occupies a small footprint. During its flotation process, the hydraulic retention time is approximately 20~30 minutes.
Advantage 2 of the dissolved air flotation machine: Simple structure with easy operation and maintenance. The key control parameter is the gas-liquid mixer speed. The console can be placed indoors for centralized control, streamlining the operation of the dissolved air system.
The dissolved air flotation machine offers three significant advantages: Low energy consumption and low investment. For a sewage treatment scale of 100m³/h, typically only one gas-liquid mixer is necessary, with a power requirement of about 0.75kW. In contrast, a conventional pressure dissolved gas flotation system involves multiple components such as a return water pump, air compressor, dissolved gas tank, and more, leading to higher investment and energy consumption.
