WORKING PRINCIPLE:
The sewage is channeled into the gas-liquid contact reaction zone of the air flotation machine via the water inlet pump. Within this zone, the gas-liquid mixer produces abundant microbubbles that attract oil droplets, suspended solids, and other contaminants. These pollutants adhere to the bubbles, which then rise to the surface in the separation zone, forming a layer of scum.
Purified sewage overflows through the overflow weir and exits via the outlet pipe. The surface scum is efficiently scraped off by the slag scraper and directed into the scum pool.
The scum is subsequently transported by a screw conveyor. Continuous scraping is an option, but intermittent scraping is recommended to lower the scum's moisture content, thus reducing the volume of scum, minimizing water body interference, and stabilizing effluent quality.
ADVANTAGES:
Advantage 1 of the dissolved air flotation machine: Minimal residence time, no backflow of water, and a compact footprint. The hydraulic retention time during the flotation process is approximately 20-30 minutes.
Advantage 2 of the dissolved air flotation machine: Straightforward design, effortless operation, and easy maintenance. The primary control parameter is the speed of the gas-liquid mixer, with a central console for indoor installation allowing for centralized control. Conversely, the dissolved air system operation is more intricate.
The dissolved air flotation machine boasts three main advantages: low energy consumption, and low investment costs. For a sewage treatment scale of 100m³/h, a single gas-liquid mixer suffices, with a power requirement of just 0.75kW. Traditional pressure dissolved gas flotation systems involve a return water pump, air compressor, dissolved gas tank, and numerous supporting pipelines-demanding higher investment and energy consumption.
