Coking wastewater treatment has always been a major problem in the field of sewage treatment at home and abroad. The pollutants in the wastewater are complex, containing volatile phenols, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and heterocyclic compounds such as oxygen, sulfur, and nitrogen. It is a high-concentration organic industrial wastewater that is difficult to biodegrade. At present, the most commonly used method is to remove oil from coking wastewater through a grease trap and a secondary flotation tank, and then perform traditional biochemical treatment. After deep treatment, it is reused or discharged, which can no longer meet the increasingly stringent environmental protection requirements.

Fenton fluidized bed is an effective and feasible method for advanced oxidation method in deep treatment of coking wastewater.

Coking wastewater has complex components and is difficult to treat. Biochemical treatment can reduce the content of pollutants such as COD and ammonia nitrogen in coking wastewater. After secondary treatment, it is difficult to meet the standards for chromaticity and COD. A new type of Fenton fluidized bed is used to further reduce pollutant indicators.

Fenton fluidized bed is a traditional Fenton that uses the characteristic that Fe2+ is prone to heterogeneous nucleation in the metastable region. Fillers are introduced into the traditional Fenton reaction system in the fluidized bed, so that Fe3+ crystallizes on the surface of filler particles. The hydroxy iron oxide on the surface of the filler will dissolve and participate in the Fenton reaction. At the same time, the residual hydrogen peroxide will continue to participate in the reaction through reflux, reducing the input of Fe2+ and H2O2. The fluidized bed is used to improve the reaction efficiency by combining homogeneous chemical oxidation, heterogeneous chemical oxidation, fluidized crystallization, reduction dissolution, etc., and the traditional Fenton method is combined to integrate the functions of trivalent iron ion crystallization, reduction and precipitation. It can be used in the treatment of coking wastewater to effectively improve the removal rate of COD, chromaticity and other pollutants.

Factors affecting the Fenton fluidized bed: inlet SSpH, rising flow rate, dosage, drug quality, residence time and other factors.

The high SS in the water and the many impurities in the medicines lead to an increase in the dosage of medicines, frequent blockage of the ferrous iron pump, and a small amount of ferrous iron in the reactor. The hydrogen peroxide is the result of continuous addition of Fe2+ and high H2O2. Excessive hydrogen peroxide will inhibit OH, and decompose to generate H2O and O2 under alkaline and suitable temperature conditions, which will cause sludge flotation? Then the residual H2O2 will also cause the effluent COD value to be higher than the actual COD value and the subsequent gas dispersion facilities to have a large amount of foam. The labor intensity of configuring ferrous sulfate solution is high, the volume of the medicine storage box is small, and the ferrous sulfate concentration will also be low during the configuration process. Hydroxyl radicals are generated when the pH is 3~4. The residence time of water should not be less than 30min.
