BDD electrode is a new type of electrode. It uses boron-doped diamond BDD film as electrode material. It has excellent electrochemical properties such as wide electrochemical potential window, low background current, good physical and chemical stability and low adsorption characteristics.
Organic pollutants are directly oxidized on the anode surface or indirectly oxidized by strong oxidizing active substances generated by electrocatalysis. The electrocatalytic process only consumes electrons provided by the external circuit and is carried out at normal temperature and pressure. It has the advantages of no secondary pollution, easy automation, simple and convenient, and good combination with other technologies.
Technical advantages
1.The reagent is a clean reactant - electrons
2.Operate at room temperature and pressure, easy to manage
3.The treatment device occupies a small area
4.The water quality of the effluent can be ensured to be stable by adjusting the voltage and current
5.Use low-voltage DC power supply for degradation, without the need to consume a large amount of chemical agents
6.nder the same conditions, the efficiency and energy consumption of BDD electrode in degrading organic matter are significantly better than other electrodes
Typical applications
BDD electrode can effectively degrade pollutants in various types of organic wastewater, such as organic wastewater in the fields of pharmaceutical/pesticide chemicals, petrochemicals, coking, smelting, printing and dyeing, papermaking, leather making, explosives, wine making, and landfill leachate.
(1) Phenols and their derivatives, such as phenol, mainly come from petrochemical enterprises;
(2) Pharmaceutical intermediates, such as 17β-estradiol, mainly come from pharmaceutical chemical enterprises;
(3) Dyes and pigments, such as methyl orange, mainly come from printing and dyeing factories;
(4) Herbicides and insecticides, such as chlorsulfuron, mainly come from pesticide manufacturers;
(5) Surfactants, such as car wash wastewater.
