WORKING PRINCIPLE:
The wastewater is channeled into the gas-liquid contact reaction zone of the air flotation device by the water inlet pump. Within this reaction zone, the gas-liquid mixer generates a multitude of microbubbles, which adhere to oil droplets, suspended solids, and other contaminants in the water. These pollutants are then carried to the surface in the separation zone, forming a layer of scum for easy removal.
The purified water flows over the overflow weir and exits via the outlet pipe. The scum on the surface of the air flotation machine is efficiently scraped off by the slag scraper and collected into the scum pool.
The collected scum is then transported out using a screw conveyor. While continuous scraping of scum is possible, intermittent scraping is recommended to reduce moisture content, minimize scum volume, and mitigate interference with the water body, thereby ensuring consistent effluent quality.
ADVANTAGES:
Advantage 1 of the dissolved air flotation machine: compact design with short residence time, eliminating the need for backflow water and occupying minimal space. The hydraulic retention time during the flotation process is approximately 20~30 minutes.
Advantage 2 of the dissolved air flotation machine: straightforward structure, ease of operation, and low maintenance. The primary control parameter is the speed of the gas-liquid mixer. The control console can be installed indoors for centralized management, although the dissolved air system's operation can be more complex.
Dissolved air flotation machine features three key advantages: low energy consumption and minimal investment. For a sewage treatment capacity of 100m3/h, a single gas-liquid mixer with a power requirement of approximately 0.75kW is typically sufficient. In contrast, conventional pressure dissolved gas flotation cells require a return water pump, air compressor, dissolved gas tank, dissolved gas release group, and associated pipelines, which necessitate higher investment and energy consumption.
